is being on the 5th page of google for a keyword that gets 3.5 million views a month ie is it only good to get like page 1-2?

    It's good that you're making progress but you're definitely going to want to be on the 1st page.

    With search volume that high you'll still get some traffic on the 5th and even more on the 2nd

    First is where you want to be no matter what though

    It sounds like you're definitely closer than most on that keyword.

    Page 5 sounds pretty good, but most people don't go past the first page of results.

    Keep building those quality backlinks and you'll be raking you the traffic from searches like that!

    Yes thats good, you'll need to keep working on your SEO to move to the top of page two at worst, and reach for getting on page one. Find a solid guide to advanced SEO and follow it so you can break through onto page one, and I'm going to assume by views you mean searches?
