High PR Lies

So I have been looking into possibly listing my company on a few or 1 big PR directory since I have a service company. However their home page may be a 6 but the page my link goes on is a 3. Speaking of joeant. But all of them are full of it it seems?

Anybody know of a truly high PR directory worth the link? I have heard Yahoo but I can't seem to find out what the PR of the page I would be on is?

    Same deal with a link on the yahoo directory, and remember
    google does not like paid links for PR, so.....your whole
    idea about buying links for PR needs to be redirected
    to just building good links.

    Yahoo directory is not worth it. And you have to pay each
    year...at least that's the rules now. I had a site
    admitted way back in '97 and it's still there. What
    do I get for it? Not much. The link was free then and
    that's what it's worth.

    Besides, google warns you about directories. That the
    amount that are worth squat can be counted on a hand
    with some fingers missing.

    Yes, yahoo directory pages can have good PR, but with
    dozens on one page, the PR gets watered down. And who
    friggin uses the yahoo directory? Aint much traffic from
    that beast.

    Can anyone imagine what google could charge if they
    had a directory? Oh yeah. They do. In a way. The DMOZ.
    Now that's one that's worth it.

    You should rename the post and call it "Directory Lies."

    I have been submitting to various relevant and do follow directories but I didn't get instant results. It took around 2-3 months to get the results so I have stopped working on directories.

    My site is registered in Yahoo directory when it was free so won't comment upon this.

    Yes, DMOZ is another great directory but again it takes time to get approved. Sometimes they reject your submission because of the keyword stuffing.
