I am totally confused here which method is more effective Web 2.0 content links or web 2.0 profile links ?

  Yeah links within content are generally stronger than links within a profile. Google likes to see contextual links which means links within content. Stay away from garbage spun content though.

Definitely, content links but ensure it is from the same niche coz it will be treated as a quality link in the long run.

Yes i also think that Web 2.0 Content Link are more effective than Link's because as we know that that link will be create between the content, if some one read your content data and we create here content link then may be that person click on that link and visit on this.

As all saying Web 2.0 Properties are more important simply because it will give a more attractive way and a more strong link..as it contains content and you can also add some images , videos in it with your links. It will be good for both Search engines and Users also. Use some good web 2.0 sites like blogspot, livejournal, tumblr, weebly, webs..etc. All are nice ones and you'll get traffic also threw them. Web 2.0 Profiles are also fine if make naturally but Web 2.0 is more effective.

Like everyone said above, contextual links are far better than profile links, but that doesn't mean profile links are not worth it at all...

All kind of link can be beneficial but content links are more valuable as search engine likes link within content. High quality content with link can give you extra benefit.
