I am interested in finding someone to do my SEO and would like some feedback on how to find an SEO expert that knows what he/she is doing.

    Hello bizoppcoach (I think I'm on your twitter list!)

    Unfortunately the only way to really find good seo's is to search for "seo" and "seo expert" who is at the top for longer than a week. These companies are usually very effective however, very much overpriced.

    It is much more cost effective to learn about seo yourself then hire a low cost outsourcing company from like supportresport.com to do the tasks required.

    If you can, try to find an SEO that has been recommended by someone you know. Failing that check the Warriors For Hire board Warriors For Hire - Programmers, Website Designers, Graphic Artists

    The site (as far as I can see) runs quality control and won't allow any shady business.

    Before you take anyone on here, make sure they have a BIG portfolio to show you evidence that they can do what they claim.

    Then contact the people they did SEO for to see if their story (the SEO'er) can be backed up.

    I've noticed some ppl claim they can do SEO, but made a right mess of it, or their entire SEO campaign structure was all wrong, or got too many links in one go, or from the wrong places.

    I don't have a porfolio apart from my own sites and clients sites for the company which i probably can't give you.

    If you can be more specific i may be able to help you and tell me what is a reasonable price.

    If you need backlinks and exposure i can do this through social media (articles, social submission, blog posts).

    If you need backlinks i have lists of directorys and do-follow websites as well as do-follow blog commenting.

    Do you need me to do on-page seo? Make pages more keyword friendly?

    It really depends on what you need and what you are paying.
