Moving Blogger blog to website?

I made a Blogger blog about 1 month ago. Now I want to move the content to a website. It's a WordPress site. The site I want to move it to isn't new, it's over 1 year old.

As the content on the blog is already indexed in Google, I was wondering how exactly do I go about moving it to the site. Should I delete the posts from the blog and wait for them to be no longer indexed or can they be moved straight away to the website?

      Can you explain the purpose of doing a redirect? How exactly do I perform a redirect.

      I don't intend to use that blogger blog again, so is a redirect needed?

    If you are getting decent traffic to the blogger blog posts or have done some backlinking or promotion, then a redirect is definitely recommended.

    Not sure if you CAN actually do a redirect on Blogger, since generally you need access to the htaccess file, but you can try a html redirect.

      I haven't done any backlinking to the blogger blog so it's getting very little traffic.

      So based on that, should I just delete the blog then post the articles on the site or do I need to wait until the blogger blog posts are no longer indexed in Google?
