Read Book About Adwords... But When I Finish It, Google Changes. What To Do?

Hi,

This question is for folks who have years of adwords experience.

Is adwords something that requires constant updating of knowledge? Or is it like cycling where once it is learned, it stays with you.

I asked that because after reading a book about adwords which was published last year, I'm not sure in between what changes had occurred - I don't know what strategies are still relevant from the book and what's not.

Suppose things are ever-changing and dynamic, where does one learn of the latest updates to Google adwords practices?

Anyone can offer a thought? Thank you.

It requires CONSTANT CONSTANT updating of knowledge, much more so than SEO. Otherwise you can get burned badly and lose a ton of money, a ton of traffic, or both.

Most of it is algo-type changes that you only learn to detect and correct through experience. Can't learn any of that from books or WSOs, etc.

It does require constant updating but don't believe you need to be buying books every couple of months. Buy from a good author (think Brad Geddes and/or Perry Marshall) and you'll be on the right track.

Stay up to date with Google's own Inside AdWords (adwords.blogspot.com) and you'll be OK on the regular changes Google makes.
