Hi - A bunch of my sites have been hit hard by this update and I have a blog that got hit as well, but I noticed that it is still being crawled and new posts get indexed. The only problem is that they don't show up in SERPS anymore...

The blog url is an EMD, but it is not the sole focus of the blog. I admit it was nice getting traffic from the EMD keyword, but the posts showing up was more important.

Is this a problem for anybody else with blogs...

Thanks!

Yeah, even good, original posts that's placed on EMD domains were hit hard. I'm sure Google will fix this issue with good pages losing rank for no reason.

My EMD's all stayed constant or rose about 10-20 spots in the last few days.

The only EMD's that were targeted were ones with shady backlinking or other factors that tipped Google off. They were penalizing sites which were only ranking because of their keyword rich domain name.

There's no reason why domain names should rank for a keyword purely based upon the URL, its a stupid idea, and Google now realizes that.
