    A quick explanation would be that Link Juice is basically the search engine trust/credibility delivered by a link from one website to another.

    For example, a link from a Wikipedia page will provide more link juice than a link from a brand new site because Wikipedia has trust, authority and high value in Google's eyes.

    Hahaha Nice question. Link juice is the power that link passes to your site. It means if you have a link from a trusted and reputed source like NYT you will get more link juice than from any simple wordpress blog started 1 months ago.

    Link juice refers to the pagerank that one page passes onto others through followable links.

    Other things like site authority, context, relevancy, anchor text, kw density etc are important. But link juice in a traditional sense refers to the passing of pagerank from one page to another. Or it can also refer to how pagerank flows around a site or the web i.e. how the juice flows.

        In most cases I've seen when people talk about link juice they refer to it as if it is a measurable value. For example if we go back to the days where people used to do nofollow link sculpting on their sites internal links this was to focus the "link juice" to the most valuable areas of their site.

        Pagerank is one of the key areas of SEO that is easily measurable (even though it might not play a huge factor in how sites rank anymore).

        I completely understand that context, site trust, authority, outbound links etc of your in-linking urls plays a huge factor in the value of links. However for simplicity sake I think it's hard t objectively compare these when talking about what links bring in the most "juice".

        At the end of the day it doesn't matter what you call things I guess. It's all about building quality resources and getting genuine high value links to them!

    Link juice also passes only through do-follow links. Link juice cannot flow through a link with no-follow tag. The link you need to be one way and do-follow to take the benefit of link juice. One way links are given high priority by search engines than any other types of links.

    I have to verify this, is this something you have seen in your seo experience?

    If so, it would follow that these high PR .edu blog packages are more helpful in passing on their "link juice".

    Is that necessarily the case? Even if the blog you create is pr n/a, but its on a high pr domain???

    Water always seeks out level ground by flowing past rocks, leaves and twigs but it wont stop till it finds level ground.

    In the same way the engines pass the juice from bottom to top and its looking for a place to settle.
