What you are asking for is very broad. There's a lot of factors to this such whether you want this whitehat or blackhat, how difficult it is for the keyword you want to be ranked, and your budget for SEO.

No. It's not very simple. If you took the time to learn a thing or two about SEO, you'd know that.

Your responses indicate that you have no idea what you're doing, which makes me feel like it's the right thing to tell you to learn a little bit about it before you invest money in it. It's never good to engage in a business contract blindly.

After posting this post. and reading a few post in here. I have managed to post my ads on creagslist, closed a client for $500/month and found a great SEO provider I can outsource this too..

all this in 36 hours

Great SEO provider? How do you know? What if he does Black hat SEO for your client? What you going to do about it? Your client will go crazy. Watch out my friend. SEO is more complex than it seems. Google is pretty smart these days. Let me tell you, if they provider charges cheap prices he is using software and you won't know it until and after the fact. Be careful.

Thats a difficult one as it really depends on what exactly your looking for. I could give you some recommendations of people I've worked with but it is very much going to depend on your budget and chosen vertical.

take a look at:

I've worked with all of them and they have their plus's and minus's but generally do a good job. Make sure whoever you employ knows their stuff and has a good understanding of exactly what it is your business does and what you want to achieve. If they are just taking a keyword and ranking for it without an understanding of your underlying business model then its really going to end in a disaster.

There's always "SEOmoz" and "Searchengineland" for you to learn from. I don't think you need to hire anyone. Look in your local phone book and find SEO/internet marketing firms in your area.

SEO is a very broad topic. You shouldn't just hire someone because they say they are good.

You can try looking for SEO experts at outsourcing sites like Odesk. They have feedback on every profile so you can gauge how good that particular person is in SEO.

I agree with Morphius, when the SEO expert you hire uses blackhat methods you're client's website might be sand-boxed and be out of google for good.

What you did above, is a fast way to make some cash, but it is NOT a good way to run a business. You want to make sure that the service that your are offering is top-notch and that the client is very happy. If they get burned by you because your SEO person is bad, then your business will suffer over time.
