Indexing My Site?

I'm not a professional by any means but a lot of sites that you find like that, that are claiming to submit your site to tons of search engines will send you a ton of spam e-mail, and most will require you to continue doing something with that site. For example, I tried doing this with my blog and it supposedly submitted my site to over 70 search engines, and I did it with a few other websites as well. I then started getting spammed e-mails that I could do better on results pages if I put the websites banner or icon somewhere on my blog or some will tell you to make an account.

In conclusion, I've read that this can actually do you more harm than good. If you're up for it you can definitely try it, but I wouldn't do it with a site that you care about, maybe just one you can fool around on and try different SEO things and such. But in my experience, I submitted to 2 websites like that, the search engines that they were supposedly submitting to didn't overlap between the two sites, but I noticed legitimately no increase in traffic, and I can tell you right now looking at google analytics that I received no traffic from the search engines that I was requesting submission to.

Dude... Just ping your main homepage url and let google naturally go through your entire site.

Submitting your site to the search engines is one of the most unfruitful methods to get a site indexed by search engines, create some quality links to your homepage and other major pages on your site and all search engines will recognise their value and index most if not all your site.

Add your site to a webmaster tools and then submit your sitemap...

I also vote for doing it manually. You can ping your homepage, as previously suggested, or you can use Google webmaster tools.

I personally prefer the second choice because it gives you more possibilities. Webmaster tools are also good when it comes to finding crawl errors on your website (in case you have any) and getting your website properly indexed by Google (submitting a sitemap).

In the end Google is the "one" to decide when and what to index.

I don't recommend using automated submission.Just sign up with 2-3 big search engines and use their webmaster tools.Once you are indexed by them, the rest will just follow.

You can try to use the Google Webmaster Tools to get indexing and ranking data from Google of your site. Or you can also type in the search bar of google,

site:YourSite.com

and see what pages were indexed.

Submission sites that say they will submit you to 100's of search engines are not good. Think about it, Google, Yahoo and Bing have 99% of all Search Traffic on the web today.... so what are those other 97 search engines doing for you?

Best thing is to make a profile of info you want to submit, then do a manual submit to the "Big Three" yourslef OR, hire a professional SEO consultant to do this and more for you.
