That 3 is NOT the only way! That technique is a traditional link building methods. I suggest you do guest blogging, web 2.0 posting, you may also include that 3 methods, and updating your blog with quality content.

Thanks for your reply, one more thing, i just wanted to know the effectiveness of directory submission. heard somewhere that it holds no relevance in today's seo strategies, basically i'm a graphic designer main expertise in logo design / branding. i never thought that linkbuilding will be such a gigantic task, that demands complete dedication. I will follow your advice.

Hi,

Yes, directory submission nowadays is useless to some SEO. What I mean is because that kind of link building technique gives only a little weight in rankings. Why focus on them if you can build links using quality sites?

Hi we are doing seo for our website right. but for what i mean for google. so try to understand google algorithm or strategies first. because google only want fresh content, link building and use proper key word when you are doing posting.

The listed methods of link building are ineffective, and archaic.

They will result in little or no search engine benefit.

Great content, social media marketing, guest blogging, etc. are all far better ways to build quality links that send both traffic and SEO benefit.

There are many other strategies that you can use to build links. Forum posting and directory submission are not as effective as guest posting, social media promotion, social bookmarking, and press release distribution. Implementing these techniques can seem difficult at first, but try each of them and see which one works best for you.

Relevent link building are considered as best. links must be dofollow and less OBL. Article submission is best for link building as it contains less SPAM ? .

Everyone and their mom is going to try to sell you some service. As you're now aware there aren't only 3 kinds of links. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of different content management platforms that will allow you to post your link. From guestbooks, to forums, to article directories, to microblogs, to web 2.0, etc...

Just a few

drupal
pligg
elgg
expression engine
article dashboard

etc.... just a tiny fraction. Not to mention sites with their own unique scripts, plus any high PR domains you purchase to create content on. What you want to do is find the footprint of these platforms and then build your links in a way that creates a natural and diverse looking link profile

See, Link Building is the major part of SEO. Among these three, article submission is a quite good one. But apart from these, can get lots of ways in link building which is much better than article submissions. As you told, you are newbie in seo, need to know many. Try to look out all recent threads so they may give you way to learn more about SEO. Of course, it will tell whats the other methods of link building.

Can i use SEO power suite - link assistant to know from where i can get quality backlilnks, will that be fine, or is there any trouble in using a software to get help in link building strategy, its just for helping in finding backlinks, nothing to do with spam forum posting or blog commenting.

Blog commenting, linking with related sites are also important. I think you should start with article directory submission, web directory submission etc. you should start with this and continue doing these things. you will get good result for sure.

The bizarre penguin updates and now just read somewhere the disavow tool.

I also read the google webmasters guidelines yesterday, it made the scenario pretty much clear.

Dont submit low quality directories

Dont use keywords in an article in such way that makes it look artificial and stuffed.

Dont use spammy keywords while doing blog commenting.

NO Bulk Bookmarking on social media sites

If you do link building do it the most sincere way, work for it. Do the hard work to get a link for your site.

Guest blogging

Article Submission ( with quality and original content)

Press release

List the domain in niche directories that have good PR

and yes a bit of forum posting that doesn't look like spam !!

This is what i think needs to be done in the post Penguin Era, to attain results.

Thoughts anyone whether i have got it right or missed out on something ??

You need to build backlinks, natural backlinks done throw white hat methods. If you have a budget I suggest you better hire someone to do this, but first of all make up your mind upon what are you asking. Buy small projects and notice the effects after a couple of weeks, if everything turns good you can continue.

well sir the key of every seo website is that its age which u are not familiar with, the domain and website age gives a trust to search engines about your website.

your website is about logos, and u get paid for logos, i advice to go work as freelancer and at same time make advertising like adwords
