If I were to make a software program, what should it be?

Hi guys,

This is my first post here, and as such I'll introduce myself. My name is joe if you didn't guess from my SN. I'm a full time entrepreneur. I've been managing adwords* accounts as a certified manager now for at least 2 years and* I have a lot of experience in the field. I'm also a software developer, I can program just about anything you put your mind to. Languages I specialize in are PHP/C++/JAVA, and I have extensive knowledge of how to correctly use databases like Sqlite and Mysql and I can even program 3D games in OpenGL if I wanted to.

Okay, so enough of the introduction stuff, lets get to the important question at hand.

If I were to make a software tool to assist you guys, what would it be? What is a problem you are having on a recurring basis that is either taking up all your time, costing you money, or maybe it causes you to cry at the end of the day. I want to know! I can solve these issues for you.

It's very important that if you list a problem, I need you to be honest with me and tell me what you might pay for the solution to it and if the solution required maintenance would you be okay with a monthly payment that might be required to cover that solution to your problem. I have to be able to make money after-all to cover the costs to design the application or buy the resources that might be required.

I'm very interested to hear your responses and replies and thanks for welcoming me to the forum.

    well SEO takes time so an automation tool for that would be good, however there are already many of them out there, so maybe make one with features the current one don't have.

    what I personally would love would be a seo client manager, so I can see the clients URL and keywords, see what I have to be doing and when I have to send reports etc. I'm getting a bit tired of a basic excel spreadsheet.

    I guess I will be the first call BS.

    If you could do half the crap you stated, you wouldn't be coding software for this industry. I thin someone read 1 to many books with titles like C++ for Dummies and Databases for Dummies.

    As Yukon was asking... What the heck is an certified adsense accounts manager? But more importantly, if you say you have been doing this for 2 years and you know the industry then why do you need to ask people here what design specs are for software in this industry? So basically, your adsense account was banned at some point and you know visual basic 6, did I cover it?

      Aren't there forums and places to offer your services as a coder?
      Try there. That's really what you are asking about.

      But ask it without the BS.

      There is no such thing as a certified adsense anything.

      Perhaps you are talking about adwords? But then, why
      would you, an expert, mix that up?

          First I want to say, I totally made a typo there, I meant to say I was an 'Adwords Certified Professonal', although to be honest I am no longer that though as I let it expire. I used to do adwords marketing for clients via my old company itechware.com. Don't know why I said adsense >.<

          As for coding background here is some of the details, sorry if I came across as trying to 'look awesome', I'm not that awesome, just a coder who can program stuff and looking to make things for you guys that you actually need/want .

          I'm also the creator of dnfinder . com (my most recent work) you can check it out there. When I created that however I was still a newbie in the sense that I didn't ask customers what they wanted or if they would understand it and as a result while it works and it's very cool, most people are not willing to go through the tutorial or take the time to learn what it does. If you are interested in it though let me know and I'll teach you.

          Also, as I stated I'm a software entrepreneur. I can see why you called B.S given my typo there, but I really do have adwords experience and not just from some... book. For example, I know how important and critical it is to target your keywords to the ads to increase your CTR. A lower CTR rate means you can afford to have lower bids and therefore more cost effective advertising. I used to generate leads for pool service professionals all the time. Whether I have a skill in something or not is not the point of the thread I made. What is wrong with me coding for this industry? (and yes I do have those skills) I'm looking for problems that I can solve with software to help you guys out. I don't have to prove anything, my works speak for themselves, I was merely introducing myself and my skill-set, not trying to sell it for this industry.

          I'm not trying to get work, I'm trying to get ideas for software projects I can start that you would be interested in that could help you somehow in your day-to-day operations. Maybe there is something that takes hours out of your day and you wish there was a way to fix it.

          Sorry was a typo, if you go to google and type in "google adwords certified" you will see there program there, I paid to take there test. That doesn't mean you are good though, but it does give you free exposure to find clients. To be actually approved you must have had $10,000 between your clients of adspend collectively. I've done it before.

    Hi,

    It all depends on what the software your going to create does in terms of price.

    I'm currently mapping out the data and specification for a bot to be developed which I intend to give away free.

    While I am mindful of cost and obviously want to do it as cheaply as possible I also want to ensure it is of a high standard without any corner cutting.

    Although I'm technically minded I can't code to save my life hence needing to hire someone for the job.

    Having a look around forums and speaking to a couple of people no one has really impressed me to the point I would feel like handing money over to them.

    There is definetly room in the market for someone to create custom software as the current offerings don't really fill me with inspiration or confidence.
