I am trying to get backlinks from guest posting. How do I find sites to guest post on within my niche? My niche is a herb that is not well known. Lets say the herb was Kava. How would I find guest blog sites that are revelent to kava.

Any site related to any herbs is related.

    No not at all.

Id even wager to say I have had better results with closely related sites then exact match sites.

This makes it easier. How do I find them? Do I google "herb blogs?"

Google: "your niche" + "guest post" "your niche" + "guest posts" "your niche" + "write for us" etc. You will find many. It is, however, possible, that Google knows which blogs offer guest blogging - their links may be worth less. That is why you should try posting on blogs which don't offer guest posting out loud. Contact each webmaster individually and ask him/her for a blog post. If you're not in IM niche, many will say yes.

This may be cheating the system, but you can get people to blog comment what you want them to blog about by hiring someone at fiverr.com I have done it before and worked out pretty good.

      That's pretty cool.

Do they blog about any topic, or is it confined to specific niches that they blog about?

Not necessarily. In Pakistan and India $5 is the daily wage of a Master in English Literature. If he can get two to three such gigs in a day along with his regular job he is a happy man and will put in a honest day's work.

Other than herbs, if your herb has specific health benefits, perhaps you could consider posting on health or nutrition related blogs as well.
