Confused By Adsense Reports - Don't Make Sense To Me

Okay, so I been working with adsense for a while but never really took the time to learn the ins and outs of it or look at reports. I've been somewhat lazy and just figured I'd focus on content, slap ads up and leave it be.

Anyhow, was wanting to start reviwing reports and doing testing and seeing what is more effective and what isn't, etc. Anyhow, my reports for my custom channels doesn't seem to reflect the total number of clicks I'm getting.

So yesterday for example say I earned $14.75 from 30 clicks in the main general estimated earnings page. When I go view custom channels, which I have 4 custom channels each of which represents one of my 4 sites. When I look at my custom channels for the same date which said 14.75 and 30 clicks it says

website 1 3 clicks 19 cents
website 2 1 click 1 cent
website 3 0 0
website 4 0 0

Anyone have any idea why my custom channels reports are WAY less clicks and money than the first page when you log in which says I had 30 clicks and says $14.75 in earnings?

    It could be because you are getting clicks from a website or webpage that is not included in your custom channels report.

    From memory, do you have any other websites or pages for which you did not create custom channels for? Let's say like Hubpages or such...

      Every time you create a new ad unit, you must designate the custom
      channel. Or else it won't show.

      If you created ad units before custom channels, then those clicks
      will be shown as clicks in the overall total, but not where they
      came from.

      You can get reports on individual ad units.

      If you have adsense on blogspot, it never shows in the main report.

      A lot of people, me included, have probably put adsense on some
      orphan pages that are still indexed and found. Again, way before
      custom channels. I never delete any pages, even though I stop
      promoting or updating them.

      I myself get upwards of 20-30% money from clicks I can't
      account for.

      When clicking on the My Ads report, I get tons of ads that
      are supposedly still active. And yet, I can't remember where
      I put them all. Some were not even named, so they are quite
      old. When I was new, I just created new ad blocks over and
      over. If you check that report, you may find some yourself
      that you forgot about.
