    It isn't new that Google demands from these type of websites to add more value, but noting it as one of the goals of a certain algorithm may indicate on the search team's future intentions outside of Japan as well.
    Note in bold. Most people that freak out over any update should have
    been listening all along. Virtually all of them are "nothing new," but
    a reiteration or get tougher.

    It was unfortunate for webmasters that Yahoo decided to choose Google in Japan rather than Bing...

      That makes no sense. Using google does not block bing,
      and using bing does not block google.

      In fact, I don't get that. You don't like google, so you think
      bing should allow crap that google rejects?

      Bing cannot do that and survive in the real world.

      You don't choose google in japan. That's a silly statement.

      BTW: yahoo Japan uses google....
