    It depends on what types of blogs you will be posting on, and the type of contents you will be posting.

    Tip: Use -> keyword "write for us" <-- --> keyword "guest post" <-- to search in Google.

    You're far more likely to be accepted for guest posts if you're known to the blog owner. This could be from being a regular commenter to having had email contact on a non guest post requesting basis before.

    However it doesn't hurt (in the short term) to request a guest posting slot from "stranger" blog owners.

    If youwant to do guest posting then you have to follow some steps as, first of all search all blogs and website which accepts the guest blogs then after send a request about guest posting and after getting appropriate feedback from the admin of that website you should write an article following the guidelines of the admin of the blog. Then send it for posting and after posting they will send you the live link of your post.
    While going for the guest posting you should always choose only those websites or blogs which are of your category to get relevant and quality backlinks and traffic.

    Guest blogging is definitely a good traffic source but you mainly need to get approval from the blog owner before you are allowed to post.

      As the previous replies have mentioned, guest blogging is one of the good strategies in increasing your the traffic of your site or blog. Based on my research, there are ten recommended places where you may guest post and gain some good traffic with backlinks. They are the following: BloggingTips, Blogussion, FreelanceFolder, BlogGodown, ScopeForMoney, Gdiworkathome, MillionClues, BlogSolute, Teenius, and Techpp.
      Just remember to take into consideration the niche of your blog and the ones where you want to guest post.

    Find somebody who is better know in your niche than you are.

    Good bloggers will tell you to go away though, unless you're known to them or you have a site that looks better than theirs.

    Here's a large list of sites in a number of niches that accept guest posts - Guest Blogging Sites

    Approach the blog owner with an idea of what you'd like to submit and why you think it would be a good fit for his/her blog. That way you can be seen to at least having taken the trouble to do some research.

    Only submit quality content that's topical to the blog and try an d fit in with the style of the blog that you're submitting to.

    have to make sure you use google properly to get good guest posts.

    In my opinion we have got hundreds of thousands of hits to site from searching google for the best keywords and then searching "blogs" and going hard core on getting blog guest posts, that are SEO'ed and are optimized for the keyword you searched for. That is how you can win this guest posting game.
