Confused about message boards and SEO

I participate on several msg boards which my site sponsors. We post daily on these message boards and still no backlinks seem to be generated from our posting. Our posts contain links back to specific products on our site and these message boards are much higher ranking than our site....How can we use these posts to our advantage?

    yes, the forum posts are indexed in google. I have links in our posts directly to products in our store...ie,

    ProBlend is a unique blend of proteins, blah, blah, blah....

    these types of posts are all over the site

    It depends on which tool do you use to check your backlink. If you use link:yoursite on google, you will not find many even you have thousands of links. I recommend you use link research tools. It's very fast link checking tool

    Try checking your backlinks with backlinkwatch also post on better forums. Harleys forum has no authority or backlinks.
