How do I get the top spot for my most searched keyword? I am ranked A in places but I need the top organic spot.

My keyword is Carpet Cleaning Tampa

    Read through these forums about backlinking and SEO. Don't buy into SEO packages until you know 100% that they'll be good for your site.

    This is pretty much the aim of any SEOer so you're not going to get any really helpful answers in this thread. read read and read more

      Hi mcatt, the reason you will not rank number one in the organic Google search is because Google will not put a listing for both Google Places and Organic. They used to do this but Google see it that they are not adding value to search results by having two exactly the same listings, so if you weren't in Google places and you already have a good backlink profile, it's possible to rank number in the organic Google search results for your key term.

      That's probably the best advice, and true what he says about most of us SEO guys. We keep the secrets to ourselves until you become a client. It's only business I guess, it won't be very smart to share everything we know (plus there's way too much info to share on how to do it)

      BUT, there is a ton of information on here regarding on-page SEO and link building. Use the search function at the top-right hand side.

    You can still have two listings in page one of Google by getting your inner pages ranked. You may also want to read this blog here- Ranking Organically and in Google Places on Page 1
