Hey guys,

I notice getting yourself added to DMOZ is tough. I've done this twice now and still not listed over a period over a year. I folollowed everything they stated.

I notice on basic sites that are listed on DMOZ which have very poor backlinks besides dmoz ones are getting ranked better. Is this possible. Or is there something I'm missing

This doesn't answer all of your questions but what I have been hearing is that right now it can take about 2 years, and that's if your site meets all of their criteria.

They take squillion of years to list your website. I have submitted a site in 2009 and it's still pending

And by the time they consider the site, you may be already done and over with the site, and moved onto the next site ...

It is great that you have submitted to DMoz, but don't rely on it getting accepted... Ever...
