Hey guys,

Ive been reading the warrior forum for just about 6 months now and really love learning off you guys, and was just wondering if you could give me a little guidence.

Im 17 and started off with a little ecommerce site, selling some games. But as of 2 months ago i became a amazon affiliate selling the same products.

The sites about 8 months old and ive been trying to build my site ranking for a while now. The keywords i picked had, old sites i admit, but they had very low backlinks according to the tools i used.

I started off building manual links from high PR sites, such as web 2.0 article sites... ect using techniques such as link wheels... following the rules according to the latest google updates such as panda... ect

As of 1 week ago i started using a program called senuke also, but those links built by that wont be indexed yet anyway.

My on-page SEO has everything it needs unique content written by me and all that other jazz e.g. meta tags and all that jazz...

My question is... what am i doing wrong? I thought id be atleast 5th place on the keywprds i picled but infact bottom of first page or secound page! Am i been impatient? Any advice would be helpful thankyou

Thought he was asking what he was doing wrong? Not if he should pay for seo services.

Id be very careful with senuke. What do you mean by your on page seo and other jazz meta tags and all that jazz?! Your problem might be there also.

Time is a factor, be patient.

        Hey,

Thanks for your reply, ive ran my site through multiple online seo checkers, that look at H1's, meta tags and other factors. I made sure i ticked all the boxes and made sure it was all relevant to the keywords i picked. (To attempt to get to the top of google).

But yes i suppose patience is a key part. Thanks again for your reply

Unfortunately, it's most likely an issue of time. Ranking can take a very long time even when you're constantly working at it.

Make sure your internal linking structure is logical and keeps PR flowing all throughout while continuing to market your site anyway you can (SEO, social media, creating a network, etc). Also, you'll want to be really careful messing around with SEO software if you're new to using such tools.

You don't want to end up doing more harm than good by pushing your site down in the SERPS. But essentially, ranking takes a long time (believe me, I know how much the waiting without seeing results sucks).

If you're in the video games niche then you know that there's a ton of stuff to write about.

I guess I should have made it clear that trying to do his own SEO is what he's doing wrong. . . like you said "be very careful with senuke". Doing everything yourself never works - that's why most people just give up and quit.

          Ahh I see.

From personal experience I think this is the wrong way to go about things though.

Learning how to do something yourself and then scaling things up from there, is in my opinion the best way to go about things.

Doing everything yourself at the start can most definitely work, if you are committed enough.

A lot of people do give up and quit, which is good for the people that don't.

    Content=King.

Although you've probably heard this before, it's 100% true. Focus on writing quality content for your blog and forget about backlinks, since with enough quality content backlinks will come naturally.

This is a marathon, not a sprint.

First you need to focus on what kind of site you want and how you want to generate income. From Amazon? You're going to need a s**tload of sales to make any money, unless the items have a high ticket price to them. Senuke claims all this wonderful stuff on their website and I'm sure it's a legit piece of software, but my experience with it has been crappy, and getting rid of the software from your hardrive is almost impossible, you can't just go to control panel, programs and delete, there is a bunch of steps you have to through to get rid of it. And automated tools like this that build pages etc are known in google and they can tell when you use them.

Anyway, as a newbie young buck of 17, you should realize that you're still wet behind the ears and have your entire life ahead of you, so freakin take a deep breath and relax man.

If you're in this game for the long haul, then create sites/site that has original content, videos and stay at it every day for the next 90 days. Don't cram your site full of 60 million banners and adsense and flashing animation, keep it simple with call to action links at the end of your post. Just doing this you will be amazed at how much traffic and leads and money you make from this.

But you need to be focused and stay consistent everyday, even sunday, and make it a blog that people actually want to read and share.
