I wouldn't waste your time trying to choose an EMD or partial match domain name. Any domain name will work just fine. Something brandable is better.

EMDs no longer work very well. (due to a google update few months back). I'm not sure if they are being penalized - but I'm gonna stay away from them. I have had a lot of domains that have just fallen off the first page in the serp rankings due to it.

I'd go with what Mike said - choose a partial match and make it brand-able. If you are really out of ideas, choose your favorite animal/place/thing and add 'seo' as a prefix or suffix

You can create a sub domain with your keyword. For eg, lets say if your targeted keyword is "buyshirt" and your website is "www.xyz.com",, you can have a sub domain with "buyshirt.xyz.com" . This would boost your keyword in SERP .

Neither "ekeyword.com" nor "mykeyword.com" are keyword domains. No one searches for those names.

A partial match is meaningless. You will not automatically rank well for for search phrases using the word "keyword" with either of those domains. nikita12 is correct in that exact match domains do not automatically rank well as they once did. EMDs have lost the exact match bonus. The quality of the content is much more important today.

If you purchase either domain, you will have to build brand recognition through high quality content and marketing.

Don't believe everything that Market Samurai recommends. Market Samurai used to be a very good tool, but after all the rework due to features that have been stripped out, its value is no longer what it once was.

Domain names still matter, but they matter less than they used to.

More important than domain names, however, is having a great set of SEO tools (WebFire is a great example - WebFire - Get Instant Free Exposure on Page 1 of Google ) as this will help you optimize in other areas, making domain name a non-factor.

What? Another so-called SEO website? LOL

That's my suggestion - just stick .com on the end.
