Hi,

You know that Bounce Rate is one of important factors for SEO. How do you keep your visitors stayed longer on your website to get low bounce rate? Please share your experience.

    Bounce rate is such a ridiculously low signal, why bother?
    Work on the 554 things that matter that are in front of that.

    Thing is, I am never done working on those, so...

    Here's an idea. Have a button, with a timer that counts down
    from 10 minutes. Each person that stays, reward them with
    a 5 spot. Sound useless? Exactly.

    You may not like this answer but honestly if you want to lower your bounce rate then get better, more interesting and more compelling content.

      You can always do things to lower your bounce rate, but at what cost to the user? I have users on my sites average 10-40 minutes per day, but I have a high bounce rate because I'd rather give them a great experience by employing jquery and ajax for partial page refreshes instead of full-page refreshes.

      Decide whether you want to make your stats better or improve the user experience.

    If you aim to keep visitors stay longer on your site, you must have something entertaining or worth-staying. You can't just let them stay longer for the sake of low bounce rate. It's preposterous to stay loner without any interesting thing to do or read about.

    Add more content on your website pages and then internal link all pages with other.Adding content on regular basis can play a very vital role to improve bounce rate of your website.

      Videos and quality content. People love to play with stuff so interactive is great. Quizzes surveys games etc.

      More and more people like to watch their websites these days.

      I would also be careful how you are measuring bounce rate.

      And no one has mentioned it yet - popups
      Exit pops will reduce your bounce rate.

    I use feedburner and email marketing. The key is to post content / videos that people will stick around to read or watch. Also websites that are painfully slow makes people want to leave quickly because it's annoying. So page speed should be a factor as well
