Totally Undecided About Article Spinning

Hello, everyone: My site is fairly new (only about 6 months). It is a book review site. All my content is original, written by myself. Recently I've read a lot of stuff about article spinning, Jetspinner, The Best Spinner, etc. I've read some advice here at the forum and also around the web. To tell the truth, there are dozens of opinions. I'm really confused. I want to get backlinks to my site, but I certainly don't want to get penalized by the search engines. Please forgive since I know this question has been asked before, but I really don't know what to do. Thanks for listening.

If you don't want to get penalized, then you shouldn't be looking for shortcuts to get backlinks.

No offense but really LOL at things like that.

I will give you my little secret that I use. Not much of a secret, but its definitely much better to what others are doing. If this wont be clear, send me PM I will explain in more detail.

You scrape by hand or with a tool something like ezinearticles. Get 5 articles with all these 5 titles. Now we have { article 1 | article 2 | article 3 | article 4 | article 5 } now you have all content ready to be spun(same goes with 5 titles). For the sake of it,I will assume you will be using the best spinner for it.

In first article place your anchor text in first paragraph,in second article place your anchor text in second paragraph and so one. If using tools your anchor text variation placement varies that way you dont leave a footprint.

Think more deeply, put some tools/services like wordai.com or kontent machine, wicked article creator and get embed spun videos and images ready. That setup takes about an hour, but I can submit to 100s sites with out any footprint and making it look good to readers or reviewers!

make sure the content is spun by 80% and you will not suffer a penalty but also make sure when spun it reads correctly. Articles still get backlinks and that will never change as content will always be king

Yeah, content IS king...Especially when it's yours that you created yourself w/o cutting corners. Think I'll just keep doing what I've been doing. Thanks.

IMHO..get your backlinks the most honest, natural way possible... I am personally not a fan of article spinning because I am writing for human readers and I believe they don't deserve some 10 in 1 articles just because we want to save time. The more value you put on the articles you create the more valued it will be to your viewers...

I think you're on to something. For a minute there, I almost forgot that I'm supposed to be helping others, and not trying to make life easier for myself. Thanks for reminding me.

I don't spin articles. For SEO I focus on:

    - social signals
    - paid links (oh I know - naughty! naughty!)
    - press releases
    - high PR blog comments (white hat approach)

I would look into tiered link building. You want to build up the authority of a buffer site (maybe a web2.0 site, maybe a domain) and this is what can have your spun/readable content.

You can try the crazier/edgier stuff on your buffer sites and your edgier/crazier linking to that buffer site.

There's a lot of talk about this but if you look at the facts objectively you'll see that a lot of people are doing article spinning correctly and seeing good SEO results from it.

The critics don't have all the facts.

And I would add - that the basics of SEO are still the same:

    - good onsite content
    - good onsite SEO

Once you have the above you get quality backlinks:

    - high pr contextual
    - diversity of sources
    - social signals (I've noticed twitter seems to make a difference now)
    - diversity of anchor text
    - relevant content linking back
    - links to all parts of your site - not just the page you're interested in ranking

You can have a SEO strategy without spinning articles.
