Hello,

I just want to know how do you guys rank your youtube videos nowadays?

I have seen some guy who does only social bookmarks to his videos and his videos are mostly landing in top3 for very competitive keywords.

1)His videos are mostly 4-5minutes long (2 min at the end is only a screenshot). LENGTH matters?
2)In the description box he puts a lot of related keywords ONLY (30-60 keywords).
3)And for the backlinks he mostly have 50-100 indexed social bookmarks.

I don't know whether or not he uses traffic geyser or another similar tool. Any way to find that out?

Furthermore, what do YOU guys to in order to rank your youtube videos?

YouTube videos are very easy to rank. If they are popular are getting a decent amount of views you really dont have to do anything. They will naturally dominate the rankings.

However if you need to rank better then you are I suggest these things...

    1. Make sure you have an engaging title that contains your keywords IN PROPER ORDER.
    2. Add tags related to your keywords and a description that is short, sweet, to the point links to your money site and contains your keywords somehow.
    3. Build quality back links not social links (they may work now but eventually google will catch onto this and get rid of your ranking).

    Hope this helps.

Always use descriptive keyword to get rank in top ten and promote it on different social networks.

Just focus on the following to rank your youtube videos.
    1) Title with main keyword
    2) Description that compels.
    3) Tags with keyword and its variations
    4) youtube comments

I agree with johnrone, and i will add that you need an initial boost of youtube views, likes, favorites, subs or you wont get off the ground fast. These are all characteristics of a healthy video. This helps you within youtube and even on search engine.

Now to climb on google, you can do a lot of methods you already know because its a web 2.0 and wont suffer penalties easily. But i advice caution, dont overdo it, and definitely randomize your anchor texts.

I think I know the guy you're talking about.

The guy I am thinking will blast 2k social bookmarks to his video the first day. Then allow for them to trickle in but usually the videos will get a nice serp boost with 24hrs and continue to climb.

You might be able to see if he uses traffic geyser by going to Majestic SEO : Backlink Checker & Site Explorer and enter the YouTube address in the site explorer section.

This will give you details for most of the incoming links. You can see if these links are similar to the links you get from traffic geyser.

But if it's the same guy that I am thinking of then no, he doesn't use this service. Just mostly a bunch of social bookmarks and a keyword stuffing in the video description.

    Hope this helps,

    Paul
