Hello warriors

What 301 redirect scheme is the best? ---> stands for a 301 redirect.

DOMAIN A ---> DOMAIN B ---> DOMAIN C

OR

DOMAIN A ---> DOMAIN C
DOMAIN B ---> DOMAIN C

I'd prefer answers from professional users.

Thanks.

    Second option is better.

    What is the reason for the 301? If you are doing it just for rankings and PR benefit, the second one is a better option, but keep it on a small scale. If you start redirecting a lot of domains to one domains, Google will catch on.

    I'll have to add:

    I have just registered this (great) DOMAIN C

    and currently A is 301 redirecting to B

    so I might have to break up the redirect between A and B if I choose the second option but I don't know how google will respond. It can't be that bad I think.

      Well, there is a little bit of link juice lost between each jump. So chaining them is going to cause more of a loss from the first site.

      Google has said they will follow multiple jumps up to 2 or 3 of them. Over that, and you run the risk of Googlebot saying, "F this." and not following anymore 301's.

    What do you advice? Domain C is really a fantastic domain (EMD). It is a dot tv domain. Yes, my site is related to television. The same with dot net costs $9000.

      301 redirect the domains separately - don't chain 'em up. The link juice being passed is going to be extremely minimal from any angle.

      Build up Domain C like normal. I see domain extensions like .us and .tv rank highly for some extremely competitive search terms all the time, and if you've got an EMD then you should be good to go with some good on-site SEO.
