    If you have bought Hostgator hosting package on black Friday or cyber monday, you would have got quality hosting for as low as $3/month. However, wait for the end of the December, hope they again open their discount sales.

        I bought that package on their birthday sale and they were offering some 50% off. I think it was October 26th. If you visit WF daily, then you will never miss any promotional offer whether it is hostgator or godaddy.

    Check the shared hosting section on webhostingtalk.com. You can find decent hosting for your domain around that price with some of the coupons posted on WHT e.g. HawkHost

    $2 for a domain is good, especially if you have your own host. face it, for $2 you're getting a shitty hosting plan for a year no matter where you go. The micrsoft hosting plan is even worse imo, but it is free so you get what you don't pay for.
