Good, bad or terrible?

Any recommendations, assuming not the third option?

Personally, I would stay away from them.

Google is much to fickle for me to be messing around with backlinking services off of Fiverr.

Others, though, may have opposing views to mine -- so take it with a grain of salt.

What about using them for buildings links for tier 1?

      Same here.

I've read too many "horror stories" (here, and elsewhere) of what's happened to their buyers. You need only look through the SEO folder here at the people whose businesses have been hammered by Google's Penguin update and told openly by Google that the reason was that they seemed to have built automated backlinks, to want to stay away from that possibility. Even other, vaguer, threads there sometimes follow a regular pattern: "I'm ruined - why was I penalized?" "Have you bought backlinks on Fiverr?". "Ummmm, well, yes, a few ...". "Oops". Others decide for themselves, but it's too risky for me.

There are many threads discussing the risks of this, here. (One risk is that people can promote "manual backlinking services" there and still use software to perform them. So I don't buy the "I'd only buy manual ones" line: these service-providers are earning the princely sum of $4 each, don't forget).

It's one of "those areas" in which successful marketers tend, overall, to have strikingly different views from SEO service providers.

If this thread disappears, it'll be because a moderator felt it belonged in the SEO Forum. (I'm not suggesting it's clearcut, but it's a possibility).

It's trial and error I'm afraid, your going to get mixed views but in my opinion if you do go ahead with this then make sure to pick top rated sellers read reviews.

Don't just got any old backlink service, if it looks to good to be true then it normally is.

If you're gonna try it, pick someone with good reviews, and make sure you FULLY understand how the links will be created, how many there will be, etc.

Most of the time, the sellers do exactly as they say they will.

If you pick a seller that does exactly what the gig description says, it mainly just comes down to your ability to interpret their description & actually know what kind of stuff will be done.

It's good advice to be careful with Fiverr, especially for things like backlinks. I would look for a gig that offers a variety of types of backlinks. Not a ton of just one kind. That's old school and will backfire if you're pushing a newer domain/site.

And just use common sense. Pick a provider with lots of good feedback and a high rating.

I would steer away from fiverr backlinks. Fiverr is known to delete "bad reviews" and spamming backlinks to your site is not a good idea anymore. If you are to use the backlinks from fiverr, at least direct those links to a buffer site. In doing that you add a layer of protection to your money site.

That depends. Are you bringing lube? I would recommend so, because Google sure as hell isn't.

People keep getting hit by Google and the common response is, "I did nothing wrong!" "I only bought 20 billion links from Fiverr! What the hell Google?!?!"

Seriously though, here is in a nutshell, what service providers from Fiverr do.

I'm not currently in the loop of what Blackhat marketers use anymore to spam the internet but I still remember a few of the popular ones like BMD, SeN, Xrum, etc. They're going to load these up, randomly generate spun garbage or random spintax for bookmarking sites and they press a button.

Believe it or not, at one point this used to be an effective way to increase your rankings but a lot of people still can't get over the fact, won't accept the fact or just refuse to believe that Panda and Penguin has effectively changed the game. It didn't really change much of the game for white hat marketers sticking to the book but a lot of SEO methods that used to be effective (blackhat) were killed off as we know it.

What you get essentially for $5, is spam. your site will be spammed everywhere.

    Then there's option B:

Some of these people own Blog networks that points to hundreds or thousands of websites. They simply add your link to them (Also known as a link farm) and that's it.

So my recommendation? Stay away, unless of course you have an ample amount of free time and you love using the disavow tool. Or if you love having garbage spun content pointing to your site. I know that's sure not what I would like people to read or see before landing on my page.

What you need to do is find a service that works and stick with that service, I know that sounds pretty damn obvious but with a site like Fiverr you can easily spend $30 on 6 different services and have no idea which one worked or which one ruined your rankings...

No one want's to give away there great sources, that's why its down to trial and error. I had one guy on fiverr that I always went to for articles, I tried others but they was pants compared to this work.

Some people do generally give good service, is just finding it.

You can use the fiver services to test with the tier1 properties rather than main website url's to safeguard from any wrong links.

    What do you think?

Would you build quality backlinks for $4 profit (I wouldn't either)?

Stay away from Fiverr, a while ago it was ok but now its not that great for getting back links. I would not trust where these people would back link from. They can hurt my site more than help it. I mean come on $5 what do you think your really going to get for $5

Terrible idea. My websites were penalized from using services on Fiverr. I neglected the advice I heard over and over from people on here and other forums, then I paid the price.

You get what you pay for and SEO is no exception.

It is no ones fault that people who buy link building services on fiver, don't know what to get for their websites.

90% terrible. 5% good. 5% great. The key is knowing quality when you see it. Start by looking for people who do obviously unique tasks that require manual work. $5 for an article and a solid looking Squidoo lens is a steal. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound as good as the "100,000 link linkwheel with 10 different kinds of links for $5."

I have found that most automated services will use a single account on websites for hundreds and hundreds of orders. I ordered some bookmarks from a guy and some of the accounts literally had 10,000 submissions on them. Same for a lot of the web 2.0 providers. My tennis racket website, on the same page with someone spamming cialis shit. The automated guys are all about turning out as many orders as possible in as little time as they can.

With that said I have found some absolute gems on there.

I think Fiverr is awesome and in link building I think always should be chosen a manually service and should be avoid by software. Because manually link building is best by software link building. You can select from fiverr any manual link building. I am doing manual link building at Fiverr. you can check my gig.

Before you back link with fiverr, it's a good idea to have firsthand knowledge of SEO in 2012. You will then know which gigs to use and work with otherwise you will be bluffing.

I have 11 clients who used Fiverr and they were all penalized by Google. Now I am removing my client's backlinks which did Fiverr. So what? Fiverr's backlinks are 100% good without the number "1", I mean 00% good backlinks.

Waste of money, I bought links from someone claiming to offer 2600+ backlinks.. They were all php queries, not a single backlink! What a waste of money and a scam. Before I realized they were queries I was actually trying to get the poster to remove all the backlinks a few days later. What a sigh of relief when I realized they weren't real, my $5 lesson. I'm avoiding buying any backlinks now though after reading about Penguin and Panda, I'll just let my blog grow naturally.

Fiverr is a great time saver. You need to be very careful with Fiverr gigs. I wouldn;t order any gig on Fiverr with anything similar in a title such as "thousands of backlinks which will help you to increase your rankings very fast" .

But, for fixing wordpress problems, for a manual directory submissions, for building a links which are not pointed to your main website, but to your web 2.0 pages...also for a great and creative animation video clips or something like that (avoid fake testimonials)...Fiverr can be great.

I use a guy that builds 20 manual social bookmarks. Great gig. I use another one that creates a press release and submits it for syndication. That's all I use to get top rankings. 10 bucks for first page of Google = I love Fiverr!
