If the main home page on a site has a page rank of 4 and I was to submit an article to that site but on another which has a page rank of N/A or 1. Do I get credit from the "4" or the crappy N/A ranking that the post is on or Not ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

THANKS GUYS

You will get a lot more (seo) credit if the backlink is created on a page with `actual` pr than on a page with 0 pr.

Ok thanks. Someone was telling me that as long as the "Home Page" had a high PR even though the post within the site that my blog is on (showing N/A) was irrelevant ...

This is valid for Forum posting or if you do Guest pOsting. These can be done on pages with PR-0, as you will benefit from their home page PR.

It will have more link juice than a site that has 0 PR of homepage, so it's not totally useless.

The post gets PR0 / N/A however if you build a few links to that PR0 page it will quickly rise in page rank.

there's still advantage in getting backlinks from subpages of the main site with the high PR,

but getting the backlink from the main domain with high PR is by far better than subpages with low PR.
