Wordpress free and paid themes

word press provides best blog and give some free themes , its free themes are very good so why anyone bey paid .

I like using elegant themes .. it cost money but is well worth it.. the free ones all suck. that is why they are free

I'm using both Thesis and Genesis. Once you get the hang of them, hey are both pretty easy to use.

Haven't played with Thesis 2.0 yet. I installed, took one look at it, and then uninstalled it. I'll go back to it someday, but it is nothing like the old Thesis.

Although I am forever buying themes from Themeforest, as a developer I prefer free native themes particularly if I am using them on an auto blog project. You need to be careful though with some of the free themes on the web as they can have security holes in them and make your wp vulnerable.

If you want to see all available themes available through wordpress just go to add new themes and leave search box blank and all currently installed themes will load.

The theme you choose will also have an issue of complexity to it. The more advanced the theme the more difficult the set up - and the creation / display of content. For example my theme at ziphi.com is called gadgetine from Themeforest ( $45 ) and although is attractive was time consuming to set all the categories and settings.

I use a free theme on my site wordpressjournal.net called smartbiz that I really like and is very easy to use. On my kids soccer site at devonsoccer.org I used a free facebook clone theme called crybook. It's basic but crisp and easy to use. I have found lots of cool themes by doing a search under wordpress clone theme.

A beautiful theme I used on my softwareforcharity.org site is called colorway and is available for free as well via wordpress.

Finally a theme I recently changed a site called techiezine.com to is called frantic and is a free theme from wordpress as well.

On a site I am developing for a client called thetextingsecret.com I used is called optimize press and is specifically designed for sales pages. It's a little tricky to get the hang of but once you have it figured out is quite useful.

The point being is all of these sites are diverse - some are journals - some are sales sites and some are community driven. Paid themes are usually harder to use as their style sheets step outside the normal parameters of wordpress blogs and in many cases require you to direct load them via FTP to your server rather than use the automated installation provided via the WP admin panel.

For a good free theme, go for Flexibility 3. You won't believe the features given it is free to use. The only downside is there are links at the footer, but you can remove it by paying for it. It also seems to have been around for quite some time and seems to be well supported and updated.

I think it is always good to go for free themes from some of the more established premium theme sellers as it means that the themes are up to date and some form of support is given.

For paid themes, check out Elegant Themes and WPMU.org. They have tons of themes for a low price. Thesis, Genesis and Catalyst Themes are great for customizability as well but they are priced higher and have higher learning curves, in my opinion.

When I started out I used free themes, now I mainly use paid themes, usually from Theme Forest. There is a bit of a learning curve with most paid themes because they have their own control panel and special shortcodes, but in the long run you will save time and get the look and functionality you want.

Having said that, if you know how to edit css and create child themes, the latest default Twenty Twelve theme can give great results. It is a responsive theme too. This means it resizes for mobile devices and tablets.

If you want a free theme that are flexible, easy to customize, and have theme option that can match paid ones, please consider to try the Atahualpa theme.

This theme is overlooked most of the time, I enjoyed it very much, for a common customization like changing layouts, header size and color tweaks, no coding knowledge necessary.

Isn't there any website which provides premium wordpress themes for free? Can anyone suggest?

In terms of the themes that i have gone for are free ones, and they seem to be just fine, with actually word press providing thousands of themes that look great, the siteground-wp23 is good one that can easily be customized, with simple layout that exudes professionalism. I was thinking of using it for my new blog.
