Hey everyone, I have hired lots of SEO companies and wind up being disappointed in the end and wasting lots of money. Most recently, I had my site ranked very well for my keywords and the company I had working for at the time wound up getting my site hit by panda /penguin update.

So....

I've decided that I want to start doing my own SEO and focus all of my time on this. My question is, Is signing up for SEOmoz PRO and working through those steps enough to get my sites ranked on top or am I getting myself into a world of stress by thinking I can take this on?

I've done SEO in the past and done well, but that was before things got so competitive. I am also concerned because I've had so many companies work on my stuff that I just don't know where to start.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

SEO takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication. If you have all of the resources, go for it. However, I've found it much, much easier to outsource SEO. If you do a little bit of research and find the right people to do the job, you should be fine. Have you checked out the Warriors for Hire section on this forum? There are a lot of great seo service providers that do not charge much.

It depends on whether or not you want to learn the industry.

SEO is NOT for the weak hearted. It's an ever-changing roller coaster ride.

If that's something you're willing to deal with then I say go for it.

But outsourcing SEO to some low-cost company is a recipe for disaster IMHO.
