A webmaster has offered a link on his PR3 homepage, 1 week for $5.

Are temporary backlinks worth it?

What the heck kind of scheme is that, renting short term PR?

Like UMS said you'll be lucky If Google even finds the link within a week.

Inx links can take a while to take effect. The idea that links will immediately make a change in your results is totally false (a fact I have a hard time with a recent customer explaining). If I took a guess I would say that google this year has slowed things down even more. I have put some nice links to a site and only saw real movement 10-14 days later (worse if the site is new). So by the time google finds the link and counted it your five dollars would already be up.

SEO is not for the quick result - not anymore. Fast anything in SEO is not necessarily a good sign.

$20 per month for a Pr3 is good price nowadays? lol. I haven't been into selling links but I could make some nice extra cash

    hmmm.....

It is only going to harm you...

Some brokers do indeed charge $20/month for a PR3 with about 10 OBL. I think Textlinkbrokers is one of them if I recall correctly.

I offer PR3's with 15 OBL for $4/month which is more of a market confirm price.

Will the link drive any traffic to your site? It's $5, if it's targeted and might drive traffic to your site then why not?

For SEO purposes I don't see the point.

buying link on pr3 page is not anyone will recommend if it is for seo purpose
1)the link is too costly is it is temporary and is going to be removed after 1 week
2)may be it will not even get indexed by google in 1 week as to show Increase in serps.

It's a waste of money. $5 for 1 BL is very less.
If $5 for 5000 BL you may consider

Ridiculous but unfortunately popular rational by people who have taken no time to learn SEO. Number of links means nothing. These days 5,000 garbage links can HURT your site where 1 never will.

  • That's probably a waste of time and your money. If you're looking to gain additional authority from the link then just forget it. If it's a no-follow link and you want to generate traffic from the page that your link is on then do you have an idea of the number of targeted visitors you can expect to receive and can you expect to make sales from any of these visitors. Do you have any method of tracking these visitors to determine whether the exercise was worthwhile?

Is not a good invest specially if you are looking at it in angle of search engine as that time period is very short.

I don't suggest buying it. I think you or that webmaster estimated that Google updates the pageranks within this week and he wants to sell in for one week. Even if Google indexes that backlink and also Google updates pageranks this week, the linked website will get PR1 and its almost nothing . so don't buy and ignore it.
