in terms of seo, is there a difference in which crm / website has better rankings? e.g. i know how to use joomla and wordpress, but do search engines prefer one over the other? my all time fave is joomla 1.5 but will a site made in that rank lower than the current joomla, or the current wordpress?

Most think that it was God who created man in his own image but it was us who created God in ours.

It depend upon your need. Every CMS has it's own pros and cons
    For Example :
wordpress is good for search engines and very user friends but there are some loopholes in term of security . On the other hand Joomla and drupal offer much better security features than wordpress but they are not as user and search engine friendly as wordpress

By the way CRM refers "Customer relationship management"

Any of the major CMS systems are equally acceptable for SEO - it makes no difference. It's about how you setup the site which makes the difference. So don't choose a CMS for SEO purposes. Choose one that best fits the need of your project. If you like Joomla, and it works for you, stick with Joomla.

    Hi coolspot2,

You obviously meant to post CMS, not CRM., right.

I just noticed how obvious it is to spot the spammers in this thread. None of them actually read your post and they are posting useless information just to get their spam links in. Moderators should take note and put those accounts on notice.

To answer you question about which CMS, to choose for SEO., it does not matter. All CMS packages produce content that is rendered as HTML. The search engines only see the HTML. It matters what you include in your content, not which tool you use to create it. Your CMS should be a matter of personal preference, nothing to do with SEO, except how easy, or difficult, it is to optimize you content.

  • I would go with Wordpress everytime. I have tried many different content management systems. I also have coded them from scratch. Wordpress give what you need out-the-box. If not, there are thousands of plugins and themes that can help you reach your goals.
