FTC Closes Google Antitrust Case: "Law Protects Competition Not Competitors," Not Enough Evidence To Prove "Search Bias"

Essentially FTC found nothing wrong with the way Google displays results including favoring their own properties or felt the evidence was insufficient.

Big win for Google confirmed loss for anyone in a serp where they are buried by Google product or services placement. Better to get out of those kinds of niches because those results will not be changing any time soon

Stuff like this just doesn't make any sense at all:
Google will also enable easier exporting of AdWords campaigns to Bing and other platforms.
Why should a business cater to the needs of competition traffic? That's just stupid.

I am pretty sure that refers to your data and personal and site information. Its not stupid. Its similar to you being able to take your telephone number with you to a new provider.

Good. Any other ruling would have been ridiculous in my opinion. I hate when people insist that Google should be treated like anything other than a for-profit corporation.

I knew that Google will win because those claims did not make any sense.

    Total waste of FTC's time.

I thought for sure this would go somewhere. Big win for Google though, I'm sure people over there are popping bottles right now.

Google probably threatened to put the FTC page at position #743 of the SERPs.
