what the first step for a new site

Hi WFM

I have a new site completely fresh....and want to bring it to Google search engine. I want to know how to start first .... do I need to edit index.php and enter some keywords or metatags? if yes...then how to do it ? plz help me ...

    For newly website you have to do given below activities

    1) Solve Canonical Issue ( 301 Redirection)
    2) Submit Website in Google, Bing Webmaster tool
    3) Create XML Sitemap & add it in both Webmaster tool
    4) Solve is duplicate content issue
    5) Solve Broken Links/Dead Links issue
    6) Add Robots.txt
    7) Validate at-least Home page with W3C Validation

    Above is the some initial SEO Check List for new website, Then after go for keywords Research, Meta Tags Creation, Optimization, image, heading optimization, Off Page Optimization & so on...

      I have to do the keywords research by Google keyword... If I get 50,000 keywords ....so where shall I put the keywords ?

        To promote 50,000 keywords, you website have minimum 15000 pages. If your website not have so much pages, than create a pages & add content related to keywords in that pages & promote these keywords from these pages.

    2. choose a web host
    3. create a website

    First thing you should have and NEED before you do anything, and that includes buying a domain name & hosting, to do the research and know three things:

    1.) The topic of your site

    2.) The keywords you will be targeting - choose a primary key word & at least 5 secondary keywords.

    3.) Who your target audience is - your user demographic: who are they (age, level of computer knowledge, income level, etc) , what do they need (why would they visit your site? What is their purpose?), and how you will fulfill that need.

    If you already have a site started, then you need to reverse engineer it and figure out the answers to these questions, then work on your site to make serve a definite purpose & make sure it is optimized for the keywords you chose. Then. . . once that is done, you start on back-linking, etc.

    These things are already given when starting a new site;

    • A website name
    • Domain (registered)
    • Web Hosting
    • Software or services to design the site
    • A web authoring software or service to design the site

    But before you take care of these, you need to have a carefully planned content (what your website is all about) and also you need to determine who is your target market, your competitors and the most difficult part is how to get your site noticed.
