Seo PPC for this site?

How do I go about marketing this new site:

UK Shopping Hub

It has a lot of bad karma with regard to Google as it is immense and has over a million products with obviously duplicate content issues. These are from many shop datafeeds which I don't really have much control over. I can't see this site ranking well whatever I do though I have never paid much attention to seo as my interest has always been in making a site work a particular way.

I think the forum might well be something I should push hard as it now has social bookmarking and ratings. The forum is for offers mainly which are flooding into my email box daily.

Home

I don't like Google and their PPC though I might have to resort to it but from past experience it is expensive. Where else should I go for PPC?

    Sadly that type of site has been done to death. If you want to get Google traffic its best if you hire someone to rewrite all the listings.

    I had a similar site that got hit by panda last year.

    Search engines don't like too much flashy stuffs!

    What you can do is you can optimize each product by adding more description and adding keywords in description, same thing you can do for your home page too!

    If you want to get free traffic, recreate your site and add more content, make it less flashy and build quality backlinks.
