Youtube backlink question

Hey guys quick question,
I had backlinks built to my site using this address format:
youtu.be/__________

but I realize, that when i go through SERP, all the youtube links are in this form,


Am i still going to get ranking benefits, or did I link to the wrong web address?

I ask because I haven't seen any improvement in ranking yet..

    the link that you are getting to your videos have no value at all...i have a wso i'll let you get access too...just PM and ill get it over to you. it should help you out a lot as far as a proper game plan for building links for YT!

      yes please do, but can you elaborate-
      do you mean that the links I have are no value?
      or are you saying that because I linked them to the wrong address they are of no value?

    if it's redirecting to youtube.com/watch bla bla then it has value, but you SHOULD build links to youtube.com/watch bla bla not youtube.be

    You should really experiment. Experimenting is the key in SEO. You can choose a couple of videos for this test. For the first video, do some backlinking to youtube.com/watch.... URL and for the second video build backlinks to youtu.be URL. See if the second video's ranking picks up or not.
