Backlinking Strategy - How to get started?

Hi guys,

I am supposed to build a backlinking strategy for the business I am working at part-time. Since I am quite new to Offpage-SEO, I am a little overwhelmed by the information available and have not found the right grip to get started.

Anybody can offer any advice?

FYI the website has about 100.000 unique visitors a month.

      These are the basic methods which can be included in your strategy. Also updating your website regularly is very important. Proper Keyword Research has to be done. Getting links on country specific domains will help a lot. Also see if link exchange is possible.

    As we can see above there are lots of strategy to create back links. But always keep in mind all activitties should be done in a natural way that google likes.

    The first thing to create backlinks is to find the places from which you can get quality backlinks. When you enter the keywords of your choice, the backlink builder tool gives you a list of sites where you can post an article, message, posting os simple a backlink to your site. When you have list of potential backlink partner, it is up to you visit ech of the sites and post your content with the backlink to you site in it. When you post an article or submit a link to your site, you do not get paid for this. You give them for free with something you need-quality backlinks.

    You can do Guest posting,web 2.0 with unique content and social bookmarking.Main point is to do relevant link building.If you do this than you can get good result.

      Create good content on web 2.0 properties and test out to see if you get engagement/referral traffic. And find influencers in your niche and get guest blog posts.

    Good backlinking strategy means building quality links from several types of high authority websites. This includes acquiring contextual links from web 2.0 (mix of dofollow and nofollow), wiki, article directories, social bookmarking, creating blog posts, video, document sharing, press release, HPBL, etc. Also make sure to diversify your anchortext to avoid overoptimization. Updating your website with useful content regularly is also recommended. This is one way of getting natural backlinks -- if visitors will like your site, they’ll link to it.

    DO make links by checking your competitors links on Alexa.com and submit your website on all those website also..Do some blog commenting, directory submission and Free classified submission. Also submit your website to google places and make google+ page

        It is always better to use original articles instead of using spun versions. Always try to build backlinks from relevant high PR blog posts because it gives powerful boost.
        This is definitely true for links that point to your site. There is less importance for quality and unique content on tier 2.

    1) Directory submission
    2) Blog creation and submission
    3) Classified submission
    4) Article submission
    5) Press Relase submission
    6) Web 2.0 creation
    7) Document sharing
    8) Forum submission

    Its most important to have list of quality submission list to perform the above activity to ensure that you remain on the safe side from getting penalized. Along with these do perform onsite optimization review to better understand issues of the website and also webmaster tools to cross check the issues along with removing the less quality back links for your website.

    In case if you are not using any SEO services or any softwares then building links manually might be a little tough task but still if you build on regular basis it still works.
