Struck by Panda

My site is 7 months old - it was on Pagerank 1 and 2 for 5 keywords on Google, all of a sudden today it has slipped to 9 or 12th page in Google search, is it because of Panda update or any other algorithm update or just some Google Dance.
I strongly suspect that its an Panda update that has lowered my site rankings, can any body provide more clear info on this whether its a panda update or not. some of the spammers are still hanging there on page 1 so it doesn't look like a panda update to me but many sites which I have been tracking have suffered loss in rankings.
