If I create muliple topic pages. Should I make a new ad unit for each topic? Or can I make one ad unit and use it for all of them?

Maybe I asked the question wrong. I know I can put up to 3 on a single page. But could I use those same 3 ad units for a totally different page and topic?

Sure you can. Google will serve ads targeted to the subject matter of each page individually. So even though you use the same ad units on all your pages, the ads will change according to what each page is about or according to what the visitor to the page has been doing previously on the web.

I have sites with thousands of pages and use the same three ad units on all of the pages and they earn very well. I would suggest that you three different ad units though. So instead of say three 300x250 ads on every page, I use one 728x90, one 338x250 and one 300x250 and that seems to be the best earning combination for most of my sites.
