QS Score Different on DIfferent Adwords Accounts

Quick question....

Why is it on Google Adwords when you run a campaign you can get QS's of 7 on keywords, but then run the identical adgroups and keywords on someone elses Adwords account and get QS's of 3? I'm thinking your account history takes part in this?

Thank You.....

    Hi sourcecode,

Account history is one possible reason, if the ads are linking to two different landing pages then it could also be the landing page that makes the difference. If it's the exact same landing page, then we have to assume it's account history.

The good news is that history is weighted towards your most recent results, so you can quickly turn poor scores around if you optimize your account structure and strategies.

Yeah it was the same landing page and url...

Also, is it better to tough it out and burn money on your campaign to raise CTR% to get better CPC scores if an account started out poorly? Say like to clean the history up. Or does Google let you open another adwords account and start over fresh?

      Thank you

        Hi sourcecode,

Fortunately, QS history is weighted toward recent results. If you have a a long history of poor results, it might be better to start with a new account. Chances are you don't have a really long history of poor results, since it would have been too costly to maintain.

It's not hard to rehabilitate your history, and if you focus on a small set of ad groups with laser targeted, extremely relevant exact keywords, combined with compelling relevant ad text and optimized landing pages, you will turn your account QS history around sharply and without much expense.

          Thank you dburk...

So Google won't have a problem opening a new adwords account? From their policies it states you can't have multiple accounts running the same ads and keywords. But you can have multiple accounts for different campaigns on different markets right? Thank you again, you answered a lot for me

            Hi sourcecode,

Unless there is a very good reason for having more than one account, you should delete an old account before opening a new one. As I said before, I doubt that you really need to open a new account since it is rather easy to rehabilitate an account that has been slapped.

              Dburk,

What time frame are we looking at to get better account history?

It takes around 2 weeks for the account history to make an effect
