Hi there. I see a lot of quality sites that are having facebook social plugin. I can leave a relevant quality comment and put my site inside.
My question is, what is the quality of those backlinks ? Are they dofollow/nofollow ?

    Dear Alaltaieri,

Commenting on such sites & dropping your link there will help you in indexing/crawling.

    They are nofollow links.

    Thanks.

      Dear Mfred,

      You very well said.
But, the maximum number of sites that uses social plugins for commenting like facebooks plugin, you get a no follow links.

Good to hear that they do offer "do follow" links if the comment is great,
I need to find such good sites then.

      Thanks Mfred for this.

There is no such a difference between Do-follow and No-follow backlinks, as you already know that no-follow links are also good...for your websites health. the main thing is that they are providing you backlinks because of your comment.

I am pretty sure that it is a good idea to get a few nofollow backlinks too... Google wants a MIXTURE of dofollow and nofollow backlinks after the recent updates. So, blog commenting is a really easy and fast way to get such backlinks, but the thing that you should pay attention to, is that the comments should be REAL, USEFUL and are NOT just made for SPAM!!!

Manually leaving comments on blogs is far from spam.

I just follow the rule of "Would I approve this comment on my own blog?" before pressing the submit / post button.

Regardless of whether they are dofollow or nofollow, you should leave a relevant and useful comment first and foremost. If you do this you can win in 3 ways from this:
      1. Get a trickle of traffic through to your site from people who read the sensible comment, think your not an idiot and want to see what you're all about
      2. Actually stand a better chance of your comment staying up and not removed after a few days
      3. Getting a backlink to your site

The quick and nasty way of trying to comment with stupid comments on as many blogs as possible might result in you picking up a link here and there for a few days.

      Which one do you prefer?

Agreed. I'd much rather get a handful of long lasting links from quality sites than hundreds of junk links from spammed-to-death sites.

Such sites have nofollow. Also sometimes they remove your comment as they think this is spamming. The best thing is to go for some quality sites to get backlinks.

    Alaltaieri,

It does not really matter if they are dofollow or nofollow links. You will benefit from posting helpful and valuable information in posts. You will receive a place to put a backlink to your website with your post.

Yes, join many of the Social Network websites. Especially the most popular ones like Facebook, Twitter, Etc., and post good, helpful, quality comments and posts. This will only bring good things to your website.

Your post has a much better chance of not being removed and staying a long time if you post a quality response.

Also you will receive more direct traffic from some of the people who read your comment and liked it. They will want to visit your site, so they will click your link.

Focus on quality of each post, not quantity of posts.
