As the title says... am a newb to pr and backlinking...

I have Firefox and the pr toolbar. I understand the PR is the importance that google places in your site....

So, if a pr3 site has a link to your site, is that a pr3 backlink?

If you need a do follow with high page ranking in one site with so many sites/blogs to leave your comments and get those high page rank backlinks, here is one that you can use; DoFollow Diver - The Premier DoFollow Blogs Search Engine it has nothing to do with me but I used it.

There is a firefox plugin available to see if a particular link is nofollow or dofollow. You can find the addon HERE

You can check that if a site is a do follow or no follow by viewing its code and if it sai rel ="nofollow" it will have nofollow otherwise its do follow.

If it's do follow then yes it's a PR3 backlink (as long as the PR toolbar is correct - and it is out of date a lot of the time...)

You can use seoquake toolbar for your browser, then right click to the seoquake icon right below corner of your browser, check the 'line through "nofollow" and "noindex"' Everytime you see the link in one site with line through it, that means the link is nofollow.
    Hope this help.
