    If you're on a tight budget I'd highly suggest spending a few bucks on a .info instead.

    They will revoke your domain in a heartbeat if someone reports you are doing something wrong. I have taken 100s of .tk domains offline with a DMCA.

    Yes, that free (.TK) won't give you any benfit except short extension. Google does not give value to it. Furthermore, you do not own it, so you will risk of losing it in somedays.

    If you want some traffic from search engine, that time .tk will be bad because of it's lower value. But if you know the ways of increasing visitors no domain is bad at all.
