Hi Warriors,

Over the last month or so I have been receiving emails from what appears to be Google saying that they cannot crawl my site. I've never heard of that happening before and I do have a site map and robots txt file on my site.

Don't know why this is happening nor how to fix it. Any ideas?

Oh before I forget it is a wordpress site and the domain is http://birthdaypartyexpert.com.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I have not seen such a problem with Wordpress sites. I always think that google can easily crawl wordpress sites and also it is the best platform and easy to build a Wordpress site.

Create a Google Webmaster account and see if you have any negative messages there. The site is definitely being indexed so if Google couldn't crawl I don't know how they'd index 20 or so pages.

LloydMS, I do have a webmaster account and there is no negative messages. The site was indexed back in June of 2011 and was fine until mid Dec when I started getting the message every couple of weeks. I thought it might be a problem with the theme but I have different themes on my other two that are getting the same message.

Check the cache date, If the date is recent, they're not having any problem crawling the pages/s. Or edit a page title & you'll know 100% they're crawling the page when you see the new page title displayed in the SERP title.

I don't see a problem. The index page was last cached on Jan 10, 2013.
