I have a strange situation on a page.

It was indexed with a non optimized url (but old page) and I was doing link building on it.

So I decided to redirect 301 it to another more optimized url (the page is identical).

Last week the site rose on first page but now most of keywords of that page are not in top100.

What is the problem? And What should I do? Should I wait or should I remove the redirect?

Thanks.

Your redirection must have caused a problem. You should check the problem or must have hit by Panda.

What if I redirect the old page to a new page with a new url?

Did you check whether you have hit by panda. Try to figure out if that;s the problem. If your site was hit by Panda, then there is no problem in the redirection. Try to find out what links you have built

The drop is occurred precisely during the last panda update. Probably some onpage over optimization caused the problem. So now by restoring the old page and fixing the on page optimization should I recover the page?
