If you really want acclaim names in the industry, you must be prepared to pay quite a hefty sum.

No big brands give consultation cheap.

The truth is, you'll get a lot of people claiming to know what they're doing but the proof is in their success over time, and especially what they've been able to do in the recent past (after all these animal updates).

SEO has changed a great deal (I dare say dramatically) in the last 6 months, and stuff that used to work doesn't anymore.

Good luck with your search and if you find anyone please let me know. I'm stumbling through the "new SEO" myself.

Sounds to me like you need to fire your "inhouse SEO team" and hire people who actually know what they are doing.

Firing in-house team.. Well I suggest to hire someone inhouse and who really expert in SEO. not permanently but on temporary bases. like part time for short time period....

it will give you more benefit...

i still do keyword research and implement them on pages and it helps.
but i think the new SEO is ultimately providing high quality, useful, beneficial, and valuable content to your potential site visitors.
you do that, and people will link to your site for you on their facebook pages, in emails to their friends ,etc, etc.

i myself remember the days when you could slap up a keyword and you'd be at the top... it's not that way anymore.

i need to get in the mindset now to just make something valuable instead of taking shortcuts.

pm me the details of your site, product ... what you need... what you had in the past and what you want going forward and i'll let you know if i am able to help you or not. i know my own skills..i don't claim to be a guru.

If you want to do it yourself and only receive consultation then you can hit me up on Skype: dennis.prive

I charge $50/hour and can guide you through all the way.

If you're looking to outsource the offpage SEO (Linkbuilding) then we can just have a chat about it (without charge of course) to show you how I can help you.

SEO is really not that hard when you understand the proper basics. The problem however is that everyone interpretates the basics in a different way, and most of the people are way off with that.

I'm just curious, but this in-house SEO team you hired... Are they actually SEO's or just people you hired to do tasks you give them? If they are claiming to actually be SEO's, sounds like they may have earned a pink slip.

OP the only one I would suggest For real business SEO here at WF is MIke Friedman. (Just for information - Yes I would suggest myself but thats tacky and I am booked right now anyway).

He happens to be right though. If you have in house SEO people and they don't know whats wrong then you need to hire someone in the inhouse team that will.

Unless you are located in some small town in the middle of nowhere, I suggest you go to Google and do a search on: seo yourcityname or seo consultant yourcityname and see who ranks in the top 3 for each term, and then approach them and see what they can offer in terms of team training or hourly consulting.

This approach will reduce the "big hat, no cattle" wannabes.
