Is Chitika normally THIS poor of a performer?

Day 1 on Chitika. 3 ad units.

Site niche: iPhone games.

Impressions: 17,000+

Clicks: over 130

Total revenue: ~$1.40

Which is about 3 hours worth of Infolinks income for me. This is day 1 of using Chitika ads. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE USED CHITIKA BEFORE: Does it get better or not necessarily? Is my niche one that doesn't fit well with Chitika? At this rate I might as well start creating my own randomized ad units with Clickbank affiliate links before I continue with this.

      For the most part they're pretty poorly related, but my Adsense ads weren't targeted much better and I would still knock down a $3.00 to $3.50 ECPM, usually. I have a 728x90 at the top and two 300x250s in the content. Same placement with Adsense, previously.

    Infolinks are far better than chitika based on the pay for the ads.

    but infolinks also can't make you really rich like we hear about adsense, tribal fusion etc. In short neither infolinks, chitika is for premium websites but good enough for average websites.

      I am very sorry for the confusion with your Chitika account. When an account is first created they are not started off with our highest tier advertisers. We monitor your account and upgrade your account as soon as we have enough information, generally it can take between 1-2 business days. Once accounts have been upgraded they tend to see higher CPCs and a higher CTR.

    I have chitika account from last 2years and i have earned only $33, Does it making any sense to using that network. And they put irrelevant ads, they definitely need to improve their techniques at least if they show ads like adsense. I would like to jump over the truck.
