What Price Comparison Technology is this?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if you could help me. I was wondering if you could let me know what pricing comparison technology this website is using and where I can find more information on how to get it and set it up?

Or if there is a better pricing comparison plugin or script out there? I'd like to add it to an existing site rather than start anew.

The site in question is:

Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Complete (PC DVD) (Game) £7.68 - FOXY.co.uk

(My apologies if this site belongs to you)

Thanks!

I'd guess it's something like this...

    easycontentunits.com : Home

They extract the prices from multiple datafeeds supplied by the merchants.

Turns out that sadly this isn't what I am looking for.

Can anyone else help? Can anyone recommend a good price comparison script that works by identifying the product on the page and displaying the lowest price for that product? or is there no such thing?

There's a lot of computing power involved in checking the price of hundreds of thousands of products at hundreds of merchants across multiple affiliate networks.

I think you'd struggle to find "scripts" to do it, unless you get them custom-coded. As merchants often under-cut each other the product prices change frequently, so you'd have to poll the datafeeds often, which means large server overheads too.
