Mini site with wordpress using pages and seo, help needed

Hello, I'm thinking in making mini site using wordpress for promoting only one product as affiliate, I was thinking in put the content in the home page, (in a page not post) and the site will have also the other pages like about, contact etc.
My doubt is if puting the content of the product in the home page is good or bad for seo, or as a post? or is the same? aslo what plugin should I use, yoast or all in one?
