Two domains for the same website?

Hello,

I currently have a website with a domain that has been live for a year, the url being cityAdentalclinic.com . Thing dental clinic is going to be moved to a nearby town, and I was wondering if buying a new domain cityBdentalclinic.com would help at all? Of course once visitors click on a Google Adwords Ad or a SERP for cityBdentalclinic.com they will be eventually be redirected to the original site, but would having two domains help for city identification purposes, specially when it comes to advertising? What about building backlinks to both? Please note that city B is just 10 minutes away from city B.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!

This could in fact bring in new organic traffic for the new one depending on how many people search it per month and if you are able to get good SERPs.

You could always link both websites together via backlinks in good positions...

I think your interests would be better served by having a single domain, and you can keep the one you have right now. The days are long gone where having keywords in the domain name was a ranking factor. If you build a page specific to each city you offer services in, that should be all that is necessary for both visitors and Google.

If you 301 redirect one domain to another, it has ZERO value for SEO. The redirected domain will never be listed at all by Google.

If you set up two websites on two domains, Google will take a dim view of this because you will necessarily have duplicate content. The "About" page will likely be the same, the phone numbers will be the same, etc. Google will penalize BOTH sites.

  If you don't want to lose the traffic from citybdentalclinic.com, you can just have a single page site having information about your clinic, contact form and contact details with main website address(cityAdentalclinic.com).
  
  You should not just redirect the domain b to domain a.
